São contempladas a tipologia de erros e a reação do Instituto a cada tipo de erro detectado, considerando-se as diferentes formas de divulgação adotadas pelo Inep. Este guia está em consonância com os Princípios Fundamentais das Estatísticas Oficiais, estabelecidos pela Comissão de Estatística das Nações Unidas (ONU, 2014) e adotados pelo Inep (Brasil. Inep, 2017).
