Este estudo tem como objetivo mostrar que os acordos estabelecidos nas reuniões de Cúpula das Américas pelos Chefes de Estado e de Governo, sob a égide de um discurso de cooperação e fortalecimento do Hemisfério, funcionam como um processo de internacionalização da gestão das políticas públicas nacionais. Em nome da integração no campo educacional, criam-se novos mercados, propõem-se padrões de qualidade e desenvolvem-se mecanismos de controle, por meio dos chamados indicadores educacionais, que visam a orientar a produtividade docente e a transferência de recursos financeiros às escolas.
