place professionals involved with specific areas of knowledge, not belonging to education units in relation to the issue of degrees. An attempt will be made to detect points of confluence and differentiation between the optics of these professionals and those belonging to those units. |

A pesquisa Os Novos Rumos da Licenciatura se situa em continuidade com o trabalho realizado pela pesquisa Análise das Práticas de Formação do Educador. Especialistas e Professores, desenvolvida pelo Departamento de Educação da PUC/RJ, em convênio com a FINEP, no período de 1982-1984. Este estudo se preocupou com a análise das questões da formação dos educadores em geral, enfatizando a ótica das unidades de educação. Com relação especificamente às licenciaturas, priorizou a questão da formação pedagógica e o papel das unidades de educação no processo de formação de professores. O presente trabalho, ao mesmo tempo que dá continuidade ao anterior, orienta-se por uma ótica diferente.
